Summary
For a moment it looked like Tim O'Brien was going to lead a flash mob containing guitar pickers, fiddlers, singers and even a New Orleans-style trumpeter onto the streets. The recipients of this visitation would have been treated to a good time, with O'Brien finger-snapping his way through Roger Miller's King of the Road.
What might have followed would have been anyone's guess, although he had a set-list at his feet, O'Brien appeared to be drawing on a selection of America's musical traditions.
