FLIGHT Lieutenant Jerry Rawlings, leader of Ghana's new revolutionary council following Monday's coup, was reported yesterday to be the 32-year-old son of a Scottish businessman. Reports from Accra described Rawlings, who led the coup, as the son of a Scottish businessman whose Ghanaian-born mother runs a shop in the capital. His father is said to have travelled in and out of Ghana, but his family remained there.
