THE last full committee day of the year will see the Justice Committee take evidence on the Double Jeopardy Bill from Cabinet Secretary Kenny MacAskill and his senior officials. The Bill would allow someone who was not convicted of an offence to be retried if specific categories of strong fresh evidence came to light.
There could also be a spat at the Scotland Bill Committee, the special committee established under the convenership of Labour's Wendy Alexander to consider granting Holyrood approval to the UK Bill enacting many of the Calman proposals, including the 10p tax power on which today's exchanges will focus.See the full content of this document
