I must congratulate Finance Secretary John Swinney for scrapping the Glasgow Airport Rail Link (Garl). I also congratulate Brian Souter of Stagecoach for what appears to be a successful trial of the amphibus to replace the Renfrew Ferry.

What is the connection? Answer: the simplest, cheapest, most useful Garl alternative for people wanting to get to Glasgow Airport. The system I propose would provide a service to air travellers from Inverness, the north-east, east coast, the islands, the north-west, the central belt and the Borders.
