BRITISH-born writer Gavin Lambert, who earned his reputation as one of Hollywood's finest historians through his screenplays, novels and biographies of actresses including Natalie Wood and Norma Shearer, has died. He was 80.
A former editor of the prestigious film magazine Sight & Sound, Lambert went to Hollywood in the mid-1950s to become director Nicholas Ray's assistant. From then on, he devoted much of his life to writing about Hollywood.See the full content of this document
