BOB Geldof used his characteristic colourful language yesterday to back a blueprint to relieve African poverty by urging Tony Blair to tell George W Bush it would cost the US "f***-all".

At the launch of the prime minister's Commission For Africa report, the musician and campaigner also said of the July G8 summit in Perthshire, where this poverty will be high on the agenda: "F*** Gleneagles." He then lambasted several African leaders, calling Zimbabwe's Robert Mugabe an "ageing creep" and attacking the Ugandan president for trying to stay in office for life.
