The past 24 hours have been classic Hanna-Barbera time in the life of Scottish football. A communal fit had been triggered by Berti Vogts and the so-called "foreign legion" question, over which some had gone berserk, and, of course, lapsed into sheer fiction.
I fear one or two matters can be clarified with scarcely a wipe of the nose. Celtic's Alan Thompson is not, and will never be, on some mythical Berti Vogts wish-list. Nor is Lorenzo Amoruso, that most hapless of Italian stallions.
