TOP executives from Britain's big high street banks this week face a grilling by MPs on the influential Treasury select committee over the nation's snowballing (pounds) 60bn credit card debt.

Headed by John McFall, the Labour MP for Dumbarton, the committee is expected to savage the chief executives of banks and credit card compan-ies, including James Crosby, of HBOS, and Eric Daniels, of Lloyds TSB, when it meets tomorrow.
