AN organisation led by two prominent Scots legal figures is opposing a plan by a crematorium to install ramps for wheelchair access to its main chapel, claiming it would spoil the architecture.

The Cockburn Association, whose president is Lord Cameron of Lochbroom, a former lord advocate, and whose chairman is Lord Macfadyen, a High Court judge, said it strongly objected to the application for alterations to a listed building.
