THE west of Scotland's proposed new centre of excellence for heart and lung surgery is a step closer to completion, after plans were approved following a detailed consultation involving NHS staff and the public.
The proposed centre would be created by centralising cardiothoracic care from three hospitals at the Golden Jubilee Hospital in Clydebank, formerly owned by a private consortium before being bought by the Scottish Executive.See the full content of this document
