FOR three decades, Henry Corden was the man who gave voice to Fred Flintstone, the Stone Age cartoon characterwho ref lected the values of modern America.

Corden substituted for Alan Reed, the original Fred, and took overwhen Reed died in 1977. He was still lending his voice to the character until a few months before his death, from emphysema, at the age of 85.
