Summary

Chris Parton says Hitler was democratically elected. Hitler stood in the German presidential election in April 1932 and came second, admittedly with around 13.4 million votes. In the elections to the Reichstag in November 1932, the Nazi party had the most votes, around 32%. A few months later President Hindenburg was persuaded to appoint Hitler as German Chancellor. Hitler was not elected. Any elections in Germany after this date were rigged in favour of the Nazis and cannot be described as democratic.
