THE cost of a loose roof beam in the Scottish Parliament has passed the GBP400,000 mark and is still rising, it emerged yesterday.
Holyrood officials have already spent GBP280,000 on temporary measures after the beam swung loose on March 2. Yesterday they put a figure on what it will cost to effect a permanent repair - GBP130,000.
