A PARLIAMENTARY committee is to investigate circumstances surrounding a controversial railway line where residents have complained of being woken by freight trains running 24 hours a day.

MSPs claimed yesterday that the Scottish Parliament was "misled" when approving the construction of the GBP85m Stirling-Alloa- Kincardine (SAK) railway line, and believed that trains would not run at night.
