A GLASGOW-based solicitor hopes to launch a defence union for independent financ-ial advisers, to fight what IFAs see as unfair rulings from the ombudsman.

Alasdair Sampson, of law firm Drummond Miller, already has a website and the support of 10 IFA firms to call a steering group meeting in Birmingham next week.
