OH, quiet Kirkcudbright on a sunny summer afternoon. It's just so lovely, with its pretty, pastel-coloured houses, craft shops, fine ice creams and peace, perfect peace. Stand still on a side-street and nothing occurs. Then a cat stretches and yawns.
