ONLY weeks before the swine flu vaccine is to be distributed in Scotland human trials are finally under way.

In Germany, 128 healthy adults between the ages of 18 and 60 have been paid a nominal fee by GSK to take part in the trials which could prevent a fatal second outbreak of the virus.
