Light fantastic Spurred on by the enthusiastic response to its first-ever catalogue in 54 years and its expansion into Edinburgh, Leeds and Newcastle, the Glasgow-based lighting dynasty Cotterell - founded in 1952 by father Tony and now co-run by daughter Lorraine - is relaunching its website and adding a number of new items to its range.
Glass furniture is the new big thing for early 2006, Lorraine Cotterrell predicts, with coloured glass lights and patterned lampshades becoming big later in the summer. "Glass furniture is a great option for smaller rooms as it gives the impression of having more space, " she says.
