AMERICAN authorities last night intensified moves against an alleged IRA veteran accused of a plot to circulate millions of dollars in counterfeit currency.

Sean Garland, 71, president of the Irish Workers' Party, has been indicted by a federal grand jury in Washington, on charges of conspiring with North Korea agencies to manufacture fake $100 bills. Six other men have also been named. If convicted, they face up to five years in jail and heavy fines.
