It is not unusual for footballers to find themselves on the receiving end of verbal abuse at away grounds, particularly at the home of previous employers. It should be of little surprise, then, that for Arbroath's Adam Strachan, such treatment seems to seems to come as part of his job specification.

At just 24 years of age, Strachan has already had spells at six Scottish League clubs and only signed up at Gayfield Park two months ago. If former loyalties were not reason enough to have the Broadwood crowd cursing his every touch, Strachan's first-half goal had them positively seething during a comfortable afternoon for the leaders.
