WILLIAM Beggs, the limbs-in-the-loch killer, was back in court yesterday fighting to keep his hopes of an appeal alive.

Beggs, 41, is more than three years into a life sentence for murdering and dismembering Barry Wallace, 18, who vanished after a works night out in Kilmarnock in December 1999.
