Administrators from KPMG who were called in to Glasgow jewellers Martin Groundland have had a pound(s)518,000 bill reduced by pound(s)77,000 after a judge ruled that parts of the claim could not be justified.

The big four accountancy firm may have been charging around pound(s)100 for phone calls a few minutes long, Lord Glennie concluded. But KPMG has insisted there was "no question of any overcharging".
