THE apparent refusal of the government to release the 11men incarcerated in Belmarsh Prison despite the law lords' judgment that such incarceration without trial is illegal, bodes ill for the future definition of justice in this country.
Already, as a result of the Tampere agreement of 1999, Brussels' judicial intrusion into British criminal justice and policing has been ratified in Westminster.
