Neil Lennon, the Celtic manager, has claimed players are talked out of coming to the Clydesdale Bank Premier League by agents and other clubs in England who make disparaging remarks about the standard of Scottish football.
Lennon, who also spoke for the first time about the possibility of Martin O'Neill returning to the club in a "mentor" role, was frustrated when Craig Bellamy chose to sign for Cardiff City rather than come to Parkhead on loan.
