NEIL Lennon, the Celtic midfielder, has won the go-ahead to sue a Scottish tabloid in the English High Court over articles he claims potentially implicated him in an alleged robbery of camera equipment from a newspaper photographer.

The former Northern Ireland captain fended off moves by Scottish Daily Record and Sunday Mail Ltd, the publisher of the Daily Record, to have his libel claim thrown out because the English court was not the appropriate venue.
