LESBIANS and single women should be given better access to fertility treatment, according to the chairman of Human Fertilisation and Embryology Authority.

As ministers ordered a review of the UK's 13-year-old fertility laws, Suzi Leather called for fertility treatment to be extended to all women, regardless of partnership status, to bring laws in line with current social attitudes.
