LINN Products, the Scottish maker of some of the world's best hi- fi and home entertainment systems, yesterday unveiled a 14.2% surge in profits as it continued to vindicate its digital streaming strategy in core markets around the world.

The company, which employs 166 workers at its headquarters and manufacturing base on the outskirts of the East Renfrewshire village of Eaglesham, believes it is driving a seminal shift in the music industry in what its managing director Gilad Tiefenbrun describes as a "victory for Scottish manufacturing".
