LIVINGSTON Football Club were facing extinction last night after the Lionheart consortium withdrew their takeover bid.

The decision means the West Lothian club, which went into administration with debts of (pounds) 7.2m, could go to the wall unless the consortium reconsiders or another bidder emerges.
