THE Scottish Government was criticised last night for using 80s pop icon Gary Numan, who is publicly known for his love of flying aircraft and driving, as part of its Go Greener TV environmental campaign.

The initiative, which gets under way next week, encourages drivers to leave their cars at home when they can, particularly for shorter journeys.
