Alastair works for Marks & Spencer as an operations assistant. In his spare time he is a member of Lung Ha's Theatre Company. In its present production, Fergus Steps Out, Alastair plays the part of the prime minister. He reckons he looks like Harold Macmillan or Neville Chamberlain, or, perhaps, even Joseph Stalin.

Whatever the facial resemblance, the clear message that came over to me in conversation with Alastair was the joy and satisfaction that acting brought to him. He told me enthusiastically that he had even travelled to Poland with Lung Ha's.
