Shoebox Zoo CBBC, 6.30pm Blood on the Turntable BBC Three, 9.00pm You don't often come across Peter Mullan in a wizard's cape, wielding a magical staff, and saying: "In every generation dawns a most auspicious day." He might possibly have been preparing for a Scottish Socialist Party electoral broadcast, but somehow I doubt it. You need more than spells to dislodge New Labour's shape- shifters.
As it was, this was Mullan the mystic, cast as supernatural "Michael Scot" in BBC Scotland's entirely fabulous Shoebox Zoo, a series for children that reminds adults of all the things they miss when they make the mistake of growing up.
