IT'S NOT only rock'n'roll. We like it so much that hundreds of thousands attended the Live8 concerts in 10 of the world's great cities at the weekend while perhaps five billion viewers tuned in to watch live on television. According to Bob Geldof, the organiser, the Hyde Park gig, the biggest and best, was as if everything in rock'n roll had just been made real.
We are accustomed to hyperbole in the world of pop; less so from the mouths of politicians in powerwary of being caught out by committing themselves to something they cannot deliver.
