WHEN Jack McConnell last week outlined the vision he hopes will lure the 2014 Commonwealth Games to Scotland, he could not have imagined that his younger brother Iain would stand a chance of appearing on the podium.

But after starring for Scotland in his debut international at the weekend, the first minister's brother is now dreaming of leading the nation to glory in his own field - the "sport" of sheepdog trials.
