ALEX McLEISH has banished transfer talk until the Bank of Scotland Premierleague championship is resolved.

The Rangers manager is concentrating his efforts on redressing a two-point deficit, to the detriment of his prematch effusiveness. In a week when David Murray, his chairman, and captain Barry Ferguson were agreed that the manager required four top-quality investments to continue their progression next season, McLeish refused to look beyond the penultimate fixture of the season, Motherwell's visit to Ibrox this afternoon.
