Short measure in beer is costing Strathclyde's drinkers an average of 3p a pint, according to Mr Clive Howard-Luck, head of the region's consumer and trading standards department. His annual report issued yesterday says that in a survey of Strathclyde bars earlier this year only 12 of 100 test purchases of pints of beer contained full measure. The report recalls that six years ago provision was made for legislation that only the liquid in a beer glass and not the froth should be measured.
