Summary
The French have instigated a debate at this month's Agriculture Council meeting in Brussels on the resumption of trade negotiations between the EU and the Mercosur bloc (Argentina, Uruguay, Brazil and Paraguay).
During the meeting a further eight member states (Germany, Italy, Lithuania, Portugal, Cyprus, Belgium, Slovenia and Slovakia) voiced concerns on the impact that an EU/Mercosur deal would have on EU agriculture.See the full content of this document
