Suffering for the third straight day, the Scotland men's skip, John Penny from Aberdeen, came back on to the ice while third player Colin Dick, who had played when unwell on Monday, and alternate Jay McWilliam were still sidelined. Greig Henderson, the coach, also succumbed to the gastroenteritis bug.

They started well, scoring two in the first end, but USA responded with three in the second. The Scots then blanked two ends and scored two in the fifth when USA skip Aaron Wald had a complete miss, leaving Penny with an easy draw.
