I got Meniere's disease in 2006 and the first sign was a slight deafness in one ear for a few days. Then I had brief dizzy spells. At first I thought nothing of it, but they built up to a peak over a period of about a week.
It was disconcerting. It was like being seasick. If you sit, you're fine, but if you stand up or turn your head to one side, it feels like the room has turned upside down. The doctor gave me some antibiotics and it went away again within about a week.See the full content of this document
