A MOTHER who took the law into her own hands and grabbed a teenage girl after she made her daughter's first month at secondary school "a living misery" walked free from court yesterday.

Joanne Eddie, a former Girl Guides officer, was found guilty of assault by grabbing the girl by the neck, but received an absolute discharge from a sheriff after the 13-year-old broke down in the witness box and confessed to bullying Eddie's daughter.
