BRITISH troops in and around Basra and Amara killed more than 100 of Moqtada al Sadr's militiamen during the August uprising, The Herald can reveal.
Three British soldiers died - including one from the Black Watch - and an unknown number were injured in a campaign that went largely unreported because the Ministry of Defence issued orders to pursue a "softly-softly" approach on coverage to avoid inflaming the situation.See the full content of this document
