ADAM Ingram, the armed forces minister, was yesterday accused of snubbing forces' families and the people of Moray by not meeting the area SNP MP, local campaigners, or council leaders during a visit to RAF Kinloss.

There is persistent speculation that the Moray base, which houses the Nimrod MR2 fleet, will close as a result of a forthcoming review of the RAF's 50 airfields in the UK. RAF Kinloss and nearby RAF Lossiemouth employ 4274 service and 740 civilian workers who contribute nearly (pounds) 100m to the local economy.
