OK, so there's no Thin White Duke, but there are a clutch of acts keeping the Bowie torch burning. There's also the prospect of Pixies, returning to Scotland for the first time in 13 years, to show the younger generation that wrapping up killer riffs and obtuse lyrics in an addictive package isn't just a young band's game.
