The number of pre-school children receiving the MMR vaccination has increased, although figures continue to fall short of national targets.

There was a 0.4-per cent increase in the measles, mumps and rubella immunisation of twoyear-olds on the NHS to 88.4-per cent in the first three months of this year, compared with the last quarter of 2004.
