SOME members of the Bank of England's Monetary Policy Committee believe deteriorating UK growth prospects are making it more likely they will have to take further action to support the economy.
This view is revealed in minutes of the MPC's September 8 and 9 meeting, published yesterday, and underlines the challenges facing the UK economy as swingeing cuts in public spending loom.
