Summary
I HAVE endured almost a week of the new BBC weather-forecast layout trying to get used to it. I have failed. I cannot understand what possessed the BBC to waste a considerable amount of money producing weather graphics that make the UK look like a sea of mud occasionally being showered by the bluest rain you never did see.
A competition involving fifth and six-year students of selected schools could have produced a better result at a fraction of the cost and stimulated interest in metereological science at the same time. Maps should be of a uniform scale, and clearly show areas of high and low pressure wind direction and speed.See the full content of this document
