YOUR report (November 3) on the Department of Health destroying the files on contamination of blood products is most telling on the relative priorities of governments on maintaining records.
As someone who contracted hepatitis C from contaminated blood in 1986 and attended the funeral earlier this year of a fellow haemophiliac who died from the virus, I am appalled that the Scottish Executive can waste so much hot air over the need for openness on MSPs' taxi expenses, yet fail to take to task the Department of Health on their recordkeeping over a matterwhere many Scots have died or are seriously ill.See the full content of this document
