THE new head of Scotland's national orchestra has renewed a pledge that it will build a pound(s)13.5 million headquarters in a prime location in the centre of Glasgow.

Michael Elliott, currently an adviser to UK arts ministers, who has been recruited as chief executive of the Royal Scottish National Orchestra (RSNO), said the base in Glasgow is vital for the orchestra to enter the 21st century .
