HEALTH board bosses in Glasgow have set aside pound(s)5 million for voluntary redundancies this year amid fears the costs across Scotland could reach pound(s)20m.

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde has already announced plans to shed 1252 staff in the next 18 months, and 2000 jobs are to go in NHS Lothian, although Health Secretary Nicola Sturgeon has pledged there will be no compulsory redundancies despite pressures on budgets.
