PATIENTS are no longer waiting more than six months for treatment in Scotland's hospitals after a record cut in NHS queues.

Andy Kerr, the health minister, yesterday claimed the figures represented "the best performance ever recorded" in the Scottish NHS and said the service was already driving down delays further, ready to meet new targets in 2007.
