Why "the Old Firm"?

Celtic and Rangers became known as the Old Firm at the turn of the last century amid a suspicion among various observers that the two clubs were meeting too frequently, and drawing matches thus concocting the need for replays, purely for money-making purposes. They were thus called "the old firm" as in a firm of accountants, etc.
